Position Overview:

In this pivotal role, your primary responsibility will be to enhance our independent account operations, concentrating on increasing profitability through new sales initiatives and account engagement. You will advocate for our company's offerings and ensure that we achieve our sales objectives. Furthermore, you will play an active role in customer service support for our regional and national chain partners, elevating our company's visibility in the market and capturing a larger market share. Effective collaboration within the department and across the organization is crucial for success in this position.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Generate additional business by assessing your sales territory and individual clients, providing product samples to current and prospective customers, formulating a robust sales strategy (including time and territory management), customizing sales approaches for each client, and delivering persuasive sales presentations.
  • Continuously enhance sales and profit margins to achieve established sales and margin goals.
  • Establish new client accounts by setting competitive pricing, coordinating with the Credit Department for initial approvals, collaborating with team members for order processing and deliveries, and ensuring follow-up with clients post-delivery to confirm their satisfaction.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by working closely with colleagues to promptly address and resolve customer concerns, even stepping in to make emergency deliveries when necessary.
  • Grow our business with existing clients by promoting additional product offerings to maximize account profitability.
  • Proactively oversee customer accounts for compliance with credit terms to minimize accounts receivable challenges.
  • Stay updated on pricing trends within your sales territory, particularly regarding market-driven/commodity products, to maintain competitive pricing strategies.
  • Perform any other assigned duties to effectively support the team and the organization.
