Team CATHEXIS is seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to support our team in the day-to-day financial operations for the company. This individual will ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions, maintaining strong communication with financial analysts, project managers, and contract representatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare invoicing for cost plus, fixed price, and T&M invoices in accordance with contract requirements and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain communication with financial analysts, project managers, and contract representatives to obtain necessary backup documentation.
  • Assist with the monitoring and resolution of accounts receivable matters.
  • Process, verify, and reconcile vendor invoices ensuring accuracy, proper authorization, and compliance with contract terms and the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
  • Review and process employee expense reports after verifying accuracy of employee expense claims, ensuring all required documentation and receipts are provided and are in accordance with company policy, and government regulations.
  • Collaborate with employees and management to resolve discrepancies/answer questions regarding expense submissions.
  • Collect, verify, and process employee timesheets, ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations.
  • Participate in the month-end closing process, including the preparation of journal entries and account analysis.
  • Support audit requirements as necessary.
  • Participate in other accounting and finance activities as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of Gov/Con experience, strong understanding of GAAP, and knowledge of FAR.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have an eagerness to learn and contribute to the team.

The annual salary range for this role is $85,000 - $110,000. Please note that the salary information provided is a general guideline. CATHEXIS considers various factors in its final offer, including location, qualifications, experience, and skills.
