Position Overview

ViaSun Corporation is in search of a proficient Traffic Control Technician II to enhance our operational team. In this role, you will be tasked with executing and overseeing traffic management strategies, ensuring the safety of both personnel and the public at construction sites.

Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Establishing and dismantling traffic management devices such as cones, signage, and barriers.
  • Guiding and directing vehicular movement to maintain safe and efficient traffic flow.
  • Monitoring adherence to traffic management regulations.
  • Assisting in the setup and upkeep of traffic signals and signage.
  • Conducting routine maintenance and repairs on traffic management equipment.
  • Collaborating with dispatch, site supervisors, and inspectors to ensure effective communication regarding project progress.

To excel in this position, you should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Traffic Control Technician or in a comparable field. A solid understanding of traffic management regulations and the capability to communicate clearly with team members and the public is crucial. Additionally, holding a valid driver's license and certification in traffic management is preferred.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Traffic Control Technician or in a related capacity.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of traffic management regulations and best practices.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Valid driver's license and ATSSA certification in traffic management is preferred.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
