Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist PRN, you will play a crucial role in patient care, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as directed by physicians. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Administering medical gases and aerosol therapies.
  • Collecting and analyzing blood specimens.
  • Conducting patient assessments and testing.
  • Operating and maintaining a variety of respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment.
  • Providing mechanical ventilation and maintaining artificial airways.
  • Assisting in cardiopulmonary resuscitation efforts.
  • Educating patients on respiratory health and monitoring their responses to therapy.

Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring equipment cleanliness, and adhering to safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications

A degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution is required, along with a current Respiratory Therapist license from the relevant state board.
