About the Role
As a Certified Respiratory Therapist PRN, you will play a crucial role in assessing and treating patients with both acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as directed by physicians.
  • Administering medical gases and aerosol therapies, analyzing blood specimens, and conducting patient testing.
  • Operating and maintaining various respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment.
  • Providing mechanical ventilation and maintaining artificial airways.
  • Assisting in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and educating patients about their care.
  • Documenting patient interactions and maintaining safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you should possess:

  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • A current Respiratory Therapist license from the State Board for Respiratory Care.
  • NBRC CRT certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within six months of employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
  • NRP certification within six months of hire.
  • One year of recent clinical experience is preferred.
