Business Banking Specialist

As a Business Banking Specialist, you will be integral to advancing the bank's lending initiatives within the community. Your primary focus will be on establishing and maintaining relationships with enterprises, comprehending their financial needs, and devising loan solutions that support the bank's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Interaction: Engage with business proprietors, executives, and entrepreneurs to assess their financial needs. Discuss various loan alternatives, credit requirements, and expansion strategies.
- Credit Evaluation: Analyze financial documents, credit histories, and collateral to determine creditworthiness.
- Relationship Development: Foster strong connections with current clients while actively pursuing new business prospects.
- Loan Origination and Structuring: Although the bank has a strong focus on Commercial Real Estate (CRE), there is a growing emphasis on Commercial and Industrial (C&I) lending. You will collaborate with clients from diverse sectors.
- SBA 7(a) Lending: The bank seeks to enhance its SBA 7(a) lending initiatives. Work alongside the team to facilitate SBA-backed loans.
- Market Insight: Gain a thorough understanding of the local market dynamics. Participate in community events, network, and represent the bank effectively.
- Opportunity Identification: Stay updated on local businesses, industries, and economic trends to pinpoint lending opportunities.
- Cash Management Collaboration: Partner with cash management experts to strengthen client relationships and promote additional services.
- Deposit Growth Focus: Specifically aim for growth in non-interest-bearing deposits (measured in basis points).
- Experience: Previous experience in commercial lending is crucial. Knowledge of CRE, C&I, and SBA lending is advantageous.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities are necessary for assessing risk, structuring loans, and interpreting financial statements.
