Position: Customer Service Representative

As a Customer Service Representative at Patterson, your primary responsibility will be to assist customers in the cattle, equine, and swine production sectors, as well as sales representatives, with order processing efficiently and professionally. This role requires in-person engagement during standard business hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and support; address inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Relay important customer information to sales representatives or management as necessary.
  • Assess customer needs to recommend suitable products and solutions.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Conduct outbound calls to existing clients to identify opportunities for additional products and services.

Administrative Duties:

  • Ensure accurate processing of customer transactions in the order entry system, including orders, quotes, and returns.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of customer interactions and territory information.
  • Generate reports as required.
  • Monitor shipment schedules to guarantee timely delivery.
  • Adhere to regulatory guidelines in accordance with company, state, and federal policies.
  • Understand and comply with Accounts Receivables policies.
  • Verify pricing and terms based on established procedures and customer profitability.
  • Manage multiple computer systems and communication platforms effectively.
  • Stay informed about company products, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in customer service and strong organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in general computer applications, including MS Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in a veterinary-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Background in agriculture with knowledge of production animal husbandry is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
