Job Title: Director, Student-Athlete Development, Women's Basketball

Stanford University's Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation (DAPER) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as the Director of Student-Athlete Development for the Women's Basketball program. Reporting directly to the Head Coach, this individual will play a critical role in enhancing the academic, personal, and professional development of our student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive student-athlete development programs, including academic support, mentorship, and career guidance.
  • Collaborate with the Head Coach, staff, and student-athletes to create a positive and supportive team culture.
  • Work closely with the NCAA and conference offices to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local, regional, and national businesses to explore opportunities for student-athlete development and community engagement.
  • Coordinate community service initiatives and events that promote the Women's Basketball program and enhance the university's reputation.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to student-athletes in their personal and professional development, including financial literacy and long-term planning.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Women's Basketball program and the university's development office to secure funding and resources for student-athlete development initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., sports management, education, communications).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in student-athlete development, academic support, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful student-athlete development programs.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
