Job Summary

This role is responsible for providing athletic training services to high school athletes and the Young Athletes Academy partners, including injury prevention, emergency medical coverage, and athlete education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides athletic training services with affiliated high schools and Young Athletes Academy partners.
  • Develops and implements injury prevention programs, including conditioning and exercise routines.
  • Recognizes and evaluates athletic injuries, and implements preventive and rehabilitation programs.
  • Provides sideline and emergency medical coverage to student-athletes, including baseline concussion testing.
  • Assists with therapeutic treatment, including taping, wrapping, and bracing for preventative and protective treatment.
  • Consults with licensed physicians on injuries and treatment plans.
  • Maintains daily records of treatment logs, injury reports, and doctor's referrals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university.
  • BOC Certified Athletic Trainer and Current American Heart Association (AHA) Certification for Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
  • Ability to demonstrate customer service skills in interactions with all patients, families, and staff.
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships and build consensus.
  • Ability to solve problems and identify solutions.
