Job Title: Director, Student-Athlete Development, Women's Basketball

Stanford University's Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation (DAPER) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director, Student-Athlete Development, Women's Basketball to join our team. Reporting directly to the Head Coach, this role will play a critical part in shaping the future of our women's basketball program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive student-athlete development strategies to enhance the academic, personal, and professional growth of our student-athletes.
  • Collaborate with the Head Coach, staff, and other departments to create a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters student-athlete success.
  • Design and deliver workshops, training sessions, and other programs to promote financial literacy, career development, and life skills among our student-athletes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local, regional, and national businesses to explore opportunities for collaboration and support.
  • Coordinate community service initiatives and outreach programs to promote the values of Stanford University and the women's basketball program.
  • Provide event coordination and execution support for recruiting, team, and donor events.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and three years of experience in higher education, sports management, or a related field.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
