Seeking a Construction Project Manager/Estimator

Mills Construction Inc. is on the lookout for a skilled and motivated Construction Project Manager/Estimator. This full-time role involves overseeing project teams from the initial planning stages through to project completion on various vertical construction projects. Each day presents unique challenges, fostering collaboration and the development of strong relationships with clients and partners.

Primary Duties:

  • Review project documentation, including blueprints and plans, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the project.
  • Prepare detailed material and labor cost estimates and conduct precise take-offs.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Oversee cost/change control processes, including change order assessments, negotiations, and recommendations, as well as delay analysis and tracking of essential project documents.
  • Collaborate with Superintendents regarding schedules, labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Maintain weekly schedules to ensure effective budget management and tracking.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in vertical building project management or estimation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project, and relevant Estimating/Project Management software (currently utilizing Sage Estimating and transitioning to Sage Construction Management - SCM).
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with Owners, Architects, Engineers, and other consultants.
  • Proven ability to lead project meetings and teams.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication abilities.
  • Capacity to multitask, work independently, and lead with assurance.
