POSITION OVERVIEW

The Inventory Control Supervisor is tasked with overseeing the seamless daily operations of the Support Department, with a strong emphasis on Inventory Management. This role involves the meticulous processing, verification, and documentation of all inventory within the distribution center, alongside the recruitment and training of Support Team Members to enhance their performance. The primary focus will be on the inventory cycle count initiative and ensuring the accuracy of inventory records.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct the efforts of distribution personnel engaged in support functions such as inventory management, quality assurance, issue resolution, and data entry. Conduct interviews, select candidates, and provide training for warehouse staff and team leaders. Strategize inventory operations, setting priorities and sequences for effective product inventory. Oversee the cycle count initiative for the inventory control team, ensuring adherence to established goals. Report on inventory adjustments, accuracy levels, and significant discrepancies related to inventory. Ensure the team meets performance expectations based on our core values: Safety, Quality, Teamwork, and Productivity. Occasionally lead the entire Support Department in the absence of management. Collaborate with department heads to synchronize warehouse operations. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

This role requires an individual who is exceptionally organized, self-driven, and capable of working autonomously. Strong leadership capabilities, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills, are essential. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving situations with ease. Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using inventory management software. Capability to climb ladders and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Identifies key operational objectives and opportunities for enhancing team coaching and efficiency. Must motivate team members towards achieving success. Familiarity with company safety protocols and ensuring compliance among team members. Strong team collaboration skills. Commitment to the organization's mission and vision. Embrace Total Customer Experience (TCE) principles.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

In-depth knowledge of DelMonte Hotel Group systems, policies, and procedures. General Safety Training. Forklift/Hi Lift/Pallet Jack Certification.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES

This position manages employees within the Support Department and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these teams. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing concerns and resolving issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty at the highest level. The following qualifications are required:

Minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience. A college or university degree is preferred. Experience in personnel management is required. Familiarity with WMS/TWL systems is advantageous. A valid driver's license is necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The role is situated within a distribution center environment, which is not climate-controlled. Employees may encounter dust, odors, and noise as part of their daily responsibilities.
