About the Role

This sous chef position will be responsible for assisting the head chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a line cook or sous chef in a high-volume restaurant setting. They will be able to multitask, work well under pressure, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the head chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies, and maintaining stockrooms.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to health and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the kitchen.
  • Prepare and present dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a line cook or sous chef in a high-volume restaurant setting.
  • Degree in culinary arts or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position requiring the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate must be reliable, punctual, and willing to contribute to a positive team culture.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement.
