We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at Green Ridge Hospitality. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced cook to take on new challenges and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
About the RoleThis sous chef position will be responsible for assisting the head chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a line cook or sous chef in a high-volume restaurant setting. They will be able to multitask, work well under pressure, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Responsibilities- Assist the head chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
- Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies, and maintaining stockrooms.
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to health and safety guidelines.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the kitchen.
- Prepare and present dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Previous experience as a line cook or sous chef in a high-volume restaurant setting.
- Degree in culinary arts or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations.
This is a full-time position requiring the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate must be reliable, punctual, and willing to contribute to a positive team culture.
Compensation and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement.
