Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Supervise and lead a team of culinary staff, including Sous Chefs, Chef de Cuisine, and other kitchen personnel.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and counseling to staff members.
- Food and Beverage Operations
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of all menu items, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
- Develop and implement menus, considering member preferences, marketing conditions, and cost factors.
- Manage food and beverage inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies.
- Customer Service
- Provide exceptional service to members and guests, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Financial Management
- Prepare and manage the Heart of House operating budget, ensuring cost control and efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement.
- Other Responsibilities
- Attend food and beverage leadership meetings and contribute to the development of culinary initiatives.
- Participate in the growth and development of culinary staff, including training and mentoring.
- Represent The Landings Club with professionalism and integrity, upholding the highest standards of quality and service.
- Education and Experience
- Minimum of 8 years of proven culinary experience in a leadership or management role.
- Culinary school or apprenticeship program graduate, highly preferred.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse workload, prioritize tasks, and delegate effectively.
- Highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks and deploy resources efficiently.
- Proficient in the use of computers and email for clear written communications.
- Physical Requirements
- Standing and/or walking 90% of shift.
- Lifting, carrying, and/or moving from 1 pound up to 50 pounds for 25% of shift.
- Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and upward reaching for 85% of shift.
