  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and lead a team of culinary staff, including Sous Chefs, Chef de Cuisine, and other kitchen personnel.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve food quality, presentation, and consistency.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and counseling to staff members.
  • Food and Beverage Operations
    • Oversee the preparation and presentation of all menu items, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
    • Develop and implement menus, considering member preferences, marketing conditions, and cost factors.
    • Manage food and beverage inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional service to members and guests, ensuring a positive dining experience.
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Financial Management
    • Prepare and manage the Heart of House operating budget, ensuring cost control and efficiency.
    • Monitor and analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Attend food and beverage leadership meetings and contribute to the development of culinary initiatives.
    • Participate in the growth and development of culinary staff, including training and mentoring.
    • Represent The Landings Club with professionalism and integrity, upholding the highest standards of quality and service.
    Requirements
    • Education and Experience
      • Minimum of 8 years of proven culinary experience in a leadership or management role.
      • Culinary school or apprenticeship program graduate, highly preferred.
    • Skills and Qualifications
      • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to manage a diverse workload, prioritize tasks, and delegate effectively.
      • Highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks and deploy resources efficiently.
      • Proficient in the use of computers and email for clear written communications.
    • Physical Requirements
      • Standing and/or walking 90% of shift.
      • Lifting, carrying, and/or moving from 1 pound up to 50 pounds for 25% of shift.
      • Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and upward reaching for 85% of shift.
