Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef II to join our team at Bon Appétit Management Company. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting with the overall success of our food program and overseeing culinary functions.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of related culinary experience, including 1 year at the supervisory or lead level. They will possess knowledge of food and industry trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, safety, food cost controls, and presentation.

Responsibilities will include assisting in coordinating and participating in the preparation and cooking of various food items, assisting with planning and creating menus, and rolling out new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary team.

The successful candidate will be a motivated and organized individual with excellent leadership, training, management, and coaching skills. They will also have the ability to set up and distribute production sheets and possess computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in coordinating and participating in the preparation and cooking of various food items.
  • Assist with planning and creating menus.
  • Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary team.
  • Assist with managing cost controls and controlling expenditure.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of related culinary experience, including 1 year at the supervisory or lead level.
  • Knowledge of food and industry trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, safety, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Ability to set up and distribute production sheets.
  • Supervisory, leadership, training, management, and coaching skills.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Excel.
