Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Insight Global. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Patient Care Manager in the operational aspects of designated patient care units, providing mentoring and leadership support to staff.
  • Supervise the delivery of quality, therapeutic, and cost-effective patient care in line with standards of practice, hospital protocols, policies, procedures, and desired patient outcomes.
  • Support the Patient Care Manager in administrative and management functions, assuming their duties and responsibilities as delegated or in their absence.
  • Coordinate and direct patient care operations for assigned shifts, acting on behalf of the Patient Care Manager.
  • Facilitate orientation, training, and ongoing staff development.
  • Assist in coaching, developing, and corrective action of personnel as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing and annual employee performance evaluations.
  • Ensure the effective delivery of competent, compassionate care by monitoring and evaluating patient care processes and outcomes to maintain smooth workflow and desired outcomes.
  • Communicate the application and implementation of unit, department, and organizational philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures to staff.
  • Monitor staff performance and communicate expectations.
  • Participate in unit goal and program planning, development, and evaluation of programs and special projects.
  • Support continuous quality, process, and performance improvement, and risk management programs at the unit level.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited academic institution.
  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience in clinical settings, including leadership skills.
  • Clinical experience in both Pre-Op and PACU (> or = 2 years).
