Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Patient Care Manager to join our team in Pre-Op and PACU. This role will provide clinical and administrative support to the Patient Care Manager, ensuring the smooth operation of designated patient care units or services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise patient care staff and operations during assigned shifts, ensuring the delivery of quality, therapeutic, and cost-effective patient care in line with standards of practice, hospital protocols, policies, procedures, and desired patient outcomes.
  • Coordinate and direct patient care operations for assigned shifts, acting on behalf of the Patient Care Manager.
  • Facilitate orientation, training, and ongoing staff development, assisting in coaching, developing, and corrective action of personnel as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing and annual employee performance evaluations, ensuring the effective delivery of competent, compassionate care by monitoring and evaluating patient care processes and outcomes.
  • Communicate the application and implementation of unit, department, and organizational philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures to staff, monitoring staff performance and communicating expectations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited academic institution.
  • RN - Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience in clinical settings, with at least two years of experience in Pre-Op and PACU, as well as leadership skills.
