Job Overview

The Procurement Foundry is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions in supply chain management and cost analysis. We are currently looking for a Senior Cost Analyst to enhance our team by leading intricate analyses in purchasing, commodity management, and proposal costing.

Position Summary

As a vital member of our organization, you will engage in complex tasks that require precision in data auditing and cost evaluation. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in dynamic environments with tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive price and cost analyses.
  • Develop moderately complex evaluations of cost data to assess reasonableness and value.
  • Analyze Purchase Bills of Material, solicit Supplier Requests for Quotes (RFQ), evaluate RFQ responses, and forecast Material Costs.
  • Review proposal RFP/Q flow downs from the Contracts department, ensuring accurate identification and communication to Vendors.
  • Collaborate with Program Management, Engineering, Procurement, and Contracts to understand Direct Material requirements and facilitate communication between Suppliers and internal teams.
  • Consolidate customer requirements to leverage proposal pricing when applicable.
  • Perform TCPD Sweeps related to direct material and analyze the impact of updates.
  • Measure target costs against proposal costs and collaborate with supply chain management to achieve targets.
  • Represent the supply chain during customer negotiations, audits, and TCPD sweeps.
  • Ensure all forecasted costs reflect the most likely costs at the time of award.
  • Prepare proposal data in compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Maintain accurate filing of all proposal support data.
  • Promote and uphold the mission, values, and culture of the company.
  • Complete a Basis of Estimate for all assigned proposals and meet proposal deadlines.
  • Create complex Excel Pivot Tables and formulas; knowledge of Power Query and Microsoft Access is advantageous.
Qualifications

Preferred candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or engineering, or have equivalent experience of at least 3 years. Candidates should have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in Aerospace and/or Defense Manufacturing.
  • Experience in finance, contracting, export regulations, engineering, logistics, manufacturing, and relevant regulations.
  • Exceptional customer interface skills and a proven track record in managing complex supply chain activities.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple proposals effectively.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including Nested Formulas, Index, Match, and Pivot Tables.
  • Experience in evaluating drawing packages and compiling vendor RFQs.
  • Knowledge of FAR requirements related to Proposal Material Estimating is preferred.
  • The ability to accurately assess Vendor RFQ responses and forecast future costs based on cost data analysis.
