Our personnel are not merely part of history; they are actively shaping it.

The Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is in search of a Senior Principal Industrial Security Analyst / CPSO to enhance our team of skilled and diverse professionals.

Key Responsibilities: The Senior Principal Industrial Security Analyst is responsible for formulating and managing security initiatives and protocols for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. This role involves analyzing and applying federal security regulations pertinent to company operations. The analyst will seek rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for regulatory compliance from governmental bodies. Additionally, the role includes drafting manuals that delineate regulations and establishing procedures for the management, storage, and record-keeping of sensitive materials, as well as granting access to restricted records and materials for personnel and visitors. Conducting security training sessions and audits, as well as investigating security breaches and preparing reports with recommendations for preventive measures, are also integral to this position.

The CPSO is tasked with executing all necessary national security directives, with a particular focus on NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), Special Access Program (SAP) directives, and other relevant regulations. This role demands a commitment to excellence expected of a seasoned security expert, capable of working and making decisions autonomously without direct oversight. The CPSO must be a collaborative team member, demonstrating adaptability, prioritization skills, and effective management of customer expectations in a dynamic environment. Interaction with internal and external stakeholders, including government security officials, is essential in fulfilling security responsibilities, as well as providing guidance to fellow CPSOs across the sector at an enterprise level.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Industrial Security with a Bachelor's degree; OR 8 years with a Master's degree; OR an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Candidates must possess and maintain an Active U.S. Government security clearance at the Top Secret level, with a background investigation date within the last 6 years.
  • Capability to obtain and sustain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable timeframe, as determined by business needs.
  • Proficient understanding of Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), SAP Directives (DODM Volumes 1-4), and experience in information system security is preferred.
  • Familiarity with implementing ICD 705 Standards.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Cleared Defense Contractor (CDC) in corporate and/or government settings with industrial security responsibilities supporting Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD) programs. Completion of an accredited/approved CSSO course and other professional certifications are advantageous.
  • A proactive, efficient, and responsive team player with outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively interfacing with all levels of corporate management and government clients.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience with security management software and applications is a plus.
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and time-sensitive tasks. A hands-on, self-motivated, disciplined, and detail-oriented individual capable of working independently in a high-volume environment.

Salary Range: $95,000 - $142,400

The aforementioned salary range serves as a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers, including the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and prevailing market conditions.

Employees may qualify for a discretionary bonus in addition to base compensation. Annual bonuses are intended to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in the company's success. Employees in Vice President or Director roles may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Furthermore, Northrop Grumman offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, life and disability coverage, a savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for personal and vacation purposes.
