Chief Executive Officer - Healthcare Leader

Maine Veterans' Homes is seeking an experienced healthcare executive to serve as its next Chief Executive Officer. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading complex healthcare organizations and navigating industry challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advocacy and Public Relations: Serve as the Chief Advocate for MVH, engaging with local, state, and federal elected officials to secure ongoing financial support.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans that support the organization's mission and anticipate the needs of the next generation of veterans.
  • Operational Execution: Work closely with senior leadership and staff to implement operating plans, budgets, and policies.
  • Leadership and Workforce Development: Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain qualified staff, including training and development opportunities.
  • Financial Management: Monitor the organization's financial position and provide transparent communication to the board and key stakeholders.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.

Maine Veterans' Homes is a non-profit, award-winning senior services healthcare provider offering unparalleled care and comfort to approximately 600 of Maine's veterans, their spouses, and Gold Star families. Maine Veterans' Homes is a separate, nonprofit organization from the Department of Veterans Affairs but works closely with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to access federal funding for Veterans' benefits and care.
