Key Responsibilities:
As a vital member of the Development and Marketing team, you will assist the Development Director in various fundraising, marketing, and administrative tasks. Your contributions will be essential in implementing grant proposals and strategic fundraising initiatives that enhance the organization's sustainability.

Marketing Duties:
You will play a crucial role in promoting Community Hope and its initiatives. This includes:

  • Developing and executing marketing strategies.
  • Creating advertising materials and collateral.
  • Managing social media outreach, including regular updates on platforms such as Facebook and email newsletters.

Media Coordination:
Oversee all media and social media activities, ensuring consistent messaging across the agency's website, brochures, and other promotional materials.

Event Management:
Assist in organizing special events, including:

  • Maintaining registrant and attendee lists.
  • Managing event publications and advertising.
  • Coordinating the Annual Flag Day 5K and Fun Walk, which involves:
    • Soliciting sponsorships.
    • Advertising to participants and donors.
    • Overseeing event logistics and vendor management.

Fundraising Support:
Manage fundraising pages for events such as 5K Runs, marathons, gala events, and silent auctions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting and sending appeal letters.
  • Tracking donor contributions and sending acknowledgments.
  • Maintaining an accurate donor database and ensuring timely updates.

Online Donation Management:
Oversee the online donation platform, which includes:

  • Creating online forms.
  • Processing donations and generating acknowledgment letters.
  • Providing financial data to the Finance Department.

Reporting and Relationship Building:
Prepare reports on events and fundraising campaigns as needed. Assist the Grants Officer with grant proposals and reports. Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate donors and stakeholders.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, along with a minimum of 3-5 years of proven fundraising experience. Familiarity with Raisers Edge or similar fundraising software is essential. Proficiency in MS Office, excellent proofreading skills, and a keen attention to detail are necessary. The ideal candidate will possess an optimistic attitude and thrive in a dynamic work environment.
