Project Engineer for Complete Vehicle Durability

Job Description

As a key member of the Chassis Active Safety and Durability testing team, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing testing and development activities related to Complete Vehicle Durability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the correct execution of technical projects.
  • Organize and manage test plans and other project aspects.
  • Manage test samples (vehicles and test parts).
  • Oversee project stakeholders and provide guidance to ensure optimal execution of their duties.
  • Participate in and support test activities performed in proving grounds, labs, and/or on public roads.
  • Collect and analyze test data using specific software and analysis tools.
  • Generate technical reports aligned with customers' expectations and internal quality standards.
  • Maintain efficient and timely communications with supervisors and stakeholders.
  • Participate in project meetings with customers, suppliers, and other relevant parties.
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Committed, goal-driven, and result-oriented with strong service orientation.
  • Automotive technical knowledge of main vehicle component functions and behavior.
  • Experience with engineering software, data acquisition instrumentation, and objective vehicle testing is an asset.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in projects and a continuously evolving industry.
  • Good communication skills and confident in discussions at different hierarchical levels.
  • Must be a team player and able to work within and across various company departments.
Additional Requirements
  • Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work extended hours, including mandatory overtime and weekends.
  • Willingness to travel locally or internationally.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must be physically able to support test preparation and execution in an outdoor environment.
  • May require heavy lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Meet all workplace health and safety requirements and practices.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
