Position Overview

The After School Enrichment Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering after school programs tailored for priority students, with an emphasis on academic assistance, enrichment activities, and preparation for college and career pathways. This position collaborates closely with school leadership and the After School Coordinator to ensure that the programs align with the educational vision and goals of the institution. The role requires a commitment of 2 to 2.5 hours after school.

This position is funded through a grant, and while funding may be renewed, there is no assurance of continued employment beyond the grant period. All responsibilities associated with this role must comply with grant regulations.

Compensation and Benefits

- Hourly wage is set at $14.00.

- Additional benefits include dental and vision insurance, disability coverage, life insurance, parental leave, generous vacation time, referral bonuses, and opportunities for professional growth. Relocation assistance may be available for eligible candidates.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Must be currently enrolled in college with up to 15 credit hours, or possess a relevant professional certification.
  • Experience: Prior experience working with youth in either formal or informal settings, as well as experience in a classroom or school environment.
  • Documentation: An official or unofficial transcript must be submitted with the application to verify GPA and completed credit hours.

  • Ability to track and report data on a weekly and monthly basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement a consistent behavior management system that aligns with school-wide initiatives, fostering character development and community in the classroom.
  • Contribute to the establishment of a positive school culture that promotes an engaging learning atmosphere for all students.
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with students and families, respecting their diverse backgrounds.
  • Lead enrichment and recreational activities for program participants.
  • Facilitate structured enrichment and recreational sessions for groups of students.
  • Support the cognitive development of students, enhancing their academic skills and appreciation for learning.
  • Encourage student self-esteem and motivation through positive interactions.
  • Work under the supervision of the Site Coordinator.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the Site Coordinator and Project Director to coordinate program design and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with the Site Coordinator and Project Director to organize enrichment schedules and implement evaluation tools.
  • Adhere to all IDEA campus policies and procedures.
