Utah Transit Authority Accounts Payable Coordinator Job Description

Drive your accounting career forward as an Accounts Payable Coordinator at the Utah Transit Authority (UTA), a major transit agency in one of the fastest-growing regions in the United States.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the payment of UTA's bills, reviewing and verifying invoices with precision and efficiency.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure smooth financial operations and accurate transactions.
  • Act as an integral player in the Accounting department, actively participating in continuous improvement, month-end closings, and annual audits.
  • Work closely with external and internal customers as needed.
Requirements:
  • Two years of related work experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems, Accounts Payable, and Optical Character Recognition Software experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in accounting preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles, general office procedures, and intermediate proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and good verbal and written communication skills.
