Accounting Assistant Opportunity

Michael Page is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing daily accounts payable work, coding invoices, and verifying invoices against purchase orders and receiving records.

About the Role

This is a part-time position that requires minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have experience with high-volume accounts payable and payroll, as well as familiarity with Microsoft suite and bookkeeping procedures.

Key Responsibilities

* Performs daily accounts payable work under minimal supervision
* Codes invoices with proper vendor number, general ledger account, department, and other appropriate coding detail
* Verifies invoices against purchase order and receiving records, including interaction with purchasing, receiving, corporate accounting, and other plant personnel
* Supports Purchase Order questions and necessary updates
* Performs ad-hoc Payroll support functions as needed
* Performs various clerical functions and other various duties or projects, as assigned
* Managing AP mailboxes, organizing and sorting invoices for processing, uploading invoices
