Facility Inspector

The State of Montana is seeking a highly skilled Facility Inspector to join our team in the Office of Inspector General, Licensure Bureau. As a Facility Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections of mental health facilities, youth care facilities, community homes for persons with developmental disabilities and physical disabilities, chemical dependency facilities, private residential and outdoor programs, and various healthcare facilities.

• Conduct unannounced inspections to assess compliance with State and Federal requirements
• Recommend licensing action and monitor facilities with difficulty meeting minimum compliance requirements
• Provide technical assistance and training to licensed facilities
• Investigate allegations of non-compliance

• Bachelor's degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Family and Consumer Sciences, Human Services, Education)
• One year of job-related work experience
• Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis
