Employee Relations Senior Manager

As an Employee Relations Senior Manager, you'll play a critical role in shaping the work that supports our business operations, services, and relationships with those we serve and each other.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Employee Relations function for an operating group or region, promoting best practices and recommending procedures and courses of action.
  • Provide consulting to ER Specialists, ER Managers, and operations management on employee relations issues, interfacing with legal on complaints and serving as a link for triaging issues with the employee relations team.
  • Interface with the Shared Service Center on issues related to leave of absence and unemployment, and oversee leave of absence for select operating groups.
  • Serve as a main point of contact for employees and supervisors to answer questions related to employee relations issues or concerns.
  • Formulate and recommend employee relations procedures in all areas of employee relations.
  • Provide counsel to field operations issues related to employee discipline, reviews, and termination decisions.
  • Work with internal customers to implement positive and efficient processes that are compliant and demonstrate integrity in approaches to employee relations investigations.
  • Provide oversight and subject matter expertise to ensure standardization of service delivery and tracking of employee relations activities across a geographically diverse workforce.
  • Respond to and evaluate employee relations inquiries with a high level of customer focus and sensitivity, following best practice guidelines.
  • Utilize case management system data to identify trends and patterns and report out findings.
  • Prepare narrative and statistical reports and make recommendations for preventing or reducing employee relations issues.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Seven+ years of related experience required.
  • At least one year in a management/supervisory role preferred.
  • Ability to mentor and motivate direct reports.
  • Prior experience in navigating complex employee relations concerns required.
  • Union experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of internal policies and external regulations that impact the employee relations resolution process.
  • Customer service focused.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, problem-solving, analytic, and written communication skills.
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
