Position Type: Full Time / 40 hours per week

Job Responsibilities:

  • This role is pivotal in shaping the patient experience, acting as the initial point of contact for individuals arriving at Emory facilities for clinical appointments.
  • Key responsibilities include delivering outstanding customer service, welcoming patients, and facilitating their check-in process; effectively communicating with patients, families, and staff to address and fulfill patient needs while they await their provider.
  • Adhering to established standard operating procedures, you will perform various technical and administrative tasks such as managing appointment arrivals, confirming and updating patient demographics, handling registration and insurance details, scheduling, entering referrals, providing insurance information, and collecting copays.
  • This position involves regular interaction with patients, families, providers, and both clinical and non-clinical staff, playing a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for patients at Emory.
  • The ideal candidate will exhibit compassion, a dedication to exceptional customer service, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and the ability to navigate multiple applications simultaneously are essential.
  • Consistent attendance is a requirement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred, along with twelve (12) months of experience in the healthcare or customer service sector, or current enrollment in an accredited bachelor's degree program.
