Sales Representative

MSC Industrial Supply Co. is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Telesales Account Executive to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for recommending MSC products, services, and solutions to established and prospective customers via telephone, utilizing a consultative selling approach.
Key Responsibilities:- Recommend MSC products, services, and solutions to customers via telephone, utilizing a consultative selling approach.
- Grow sales to achieve department and corporate sales goals by developing existing accounts and penetration of newly assigned customers.
- Identify opportunities and make product recommendations for customer-specific operational and technical needs.
- Build excellent customer relations and respond to customer needs consistent with MSC standards, culture, and business practices.
- Maintain sales records and generate relevant market/sales reports for MSC management as needed.
- Monitor expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgetary constraints and take corrective action as necessary.
- Develop a personal business plan under close management supervision to meet personal annual goals.
- Demonstrate fundamental sales techniques and experience through a track record of achieving sales goals.
- A High School Diploma or the equivalent is required.
- 2+ years sales experience is required.
- Metalworking/MRO product and/or process experience is preferred.
- Basic computer literacy is required.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills are required.
- Excellent customer service skills are required.
Starting compensation is $25-$36 per hour, dependent on candidate location and experience. This compensation includes a commission.
Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements, and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
