Area Director, Business Development

As a key member of our team, the Area Director, Business Development will be responsible for driving sales and marketing initiatives to achieve business objectives for our assigned markets. This role will align market strategies with regional goals, utilizing market intelligence, data, and metrics to create effective market plans. The successful candidate will provide leadership, support, mentorship, and coaching to a team of clinical liaisons to enable them to meet business objectives related to admissions, revenue, and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to achieve business objectives
- Align market strategies with regional goals and objectives
- Provide leadership, support, mentorship, and coaching to clinical liaisons
- Conduct market assessments to identify potential opportunities and branding equity
- Collaborate with hospital teams to coordinate referrals and admissions
- Manage sales and marketing training, management, tracking, motivation, and planning
- Ensure utilization of sales management tools by clinical liaisons
- Provide expertise to analyze market admission potential and strategies
- Set revenue target goals and expectations for clinical liaisons
- Lead the development of strategic marketing plans for clinical liaisons
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 8+ years of sales leadership experience in a related field
- Valid driver's license
- Clinical licensure (RN, LPN/LVN, RT) preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare/post-acute marketing, sales, and business development
- Management and leadership experience over a sales team
- Formal sales training
- Demonstrated understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and other payers as related to LTACH benefits
- Demonstrated competence in strategic business planning and design of marketing initiatives
- Proven record of success
