Safety and DOT Manager Job Description

At Walker Bowen Talent Partners, we are seeking a highly skilled Safety and DOT Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and other safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Ensure all transportation activities comply with DOT regulations, including hours of service, vehicle maintenance, and driver qualifications.
  • Maintain and update all required DOT documentation and records.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in safety management, with a focus on DOT compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety and DOT regulations.
  • Must be bilingual Spanish and English.
  • Excellent communication, training, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop actionable safety strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification preferred.
