Job Summary
The Industrial Investigations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the activities of industrial investigators and the operations/compliance functions of WSSC Water's Industrial Discharge Control program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train employees to ensure optimal performance
- Coordinate training programs for industrial investigators
- Plan, assign, and supervise investigation, monitoring, permitting, and compliance activities
- Conduct research and compile complex reports to inform decision-making
- Collaborate with laboratory and data management personnel to ensure accurate data analysis
- Administer the waste hauler permitting program to ensure regulatory compliance
- Review and interpret wastewater regulations to ensure adherence to industry standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science or management
- At least 4 years of experience in industrial investigation or environmental regulatory compliance
- Valid driver's license to facilitate travel to work sites
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in specific software applications, such as data analysis tools
- College coursework in technical writing to enhance communication skills
Compensation: $83,798 - $142,457
