Job Summary

The Industrial Investigations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the activities of industrial investigators and the operations/compliance functions of WSSC Water's Industrial Discharge Control program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train employees to ensure optimal performance
  • Coordinate training programs for industrial investigators
  • Plan, assign, and supervise investigation, monitoring, permitting, and compliance activities
  • Conduct research and compile complex reports to inform decision-making
  • Collaborate with laboratory and data management personnel to ensure accurate data analysis
  • Administer the waste hauler permitting program to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Review and interpret wastewater regulations to ensure adherence to industry standards

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science or management
  • At least 4 years of experience in industrial investigation or environmental regulatory compliance
  • Valid driver's license to facilitate travel to work sites

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in specific software applications, such as data analysis tools
  • College coursework in technical writing to enhance communication skills

Compensation: $83,798 - $142,457
