Job Title: Category Manager - PPE and PPC Procurement Specialist

Department: Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to lead the procurement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Personal Protective Clothing (PPC) for our Logistics Unit. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership in procurement processes and service delivery standards, leveraging their expertise in government procurement practices, market dynamics, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute category strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency
  • Provide strategic leadership in procurement processes and service delivery standards
  • Leverage expertise in government procurement practices, market dynamics, and compliance
  • Build strong, collaborative, and productive working relationships within the teams and across stakeholders
  • Develop and execute procurement plans to meet business needs
  • Manage end-to-end supplier relationships, including negotiation and contract management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field; an advanced degree is highly regarded
  • Demonstrated experience in government procurement, particularly in managing categories related to PPE and PPC
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven record in developing and executing category strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and standards related to PPE and PPC
