Role Overview:

The Manufacturing Operations Manager is a key professional responsible for directing the planning, coordination, and execution of manufacturing operations to guarantee the efficient and timely production of aircraft components and assemblies. This role entails leading a team of skilled personnel, implementing production timelines, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and optimizing manufacturing processes to reduce costs while enhancing productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 12-15 machinists, sheet metal technicians, and aircraft painters.
  • Oversee daily production activities related to aircraft parts and assemblies.
  • Coordinate and facilitate operational startup meetings.
  • Conduct daily resource planning to meet production schedules.
  • Collaborate with production scheduling to fulfill schedule requirements.
  • Ensure availability of tools, plans, personnel, and materials to complete assigned workloads.
  • Report on production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to site leadership.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for safety and quality incidents, implementing corrective actions.
  • Mentor, train, and develop staff, including performance management and corrective action.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in safety, delivery, quality, and cost.

We offer a 4/10 work schedule, Monday through Thursday, from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, with every Friday off. Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED and 4 years of relevant production experience in an aerospace, military, and/or manufacturing environment.
  • 1 year of experience leading projects or teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
  • Experience with shop floor management systems (e.g., MES/SAP) or equivalent.
  • Ability to work any shift as required by the business.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DOD) Secret clearance and Program Access within a reasonable timeframe as required by the business.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance investigated within the last 5 years.
  • Active Program Access.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Familiarity with CNC machines, water jets, flatbed routers, laser engravers, and/or similar back shop machinery.
  • Experience with NX, Mastercam, and/or Bobcat programming.
  • Experience as a supervisor or team lead in a rapid prototype and development environment.
