As the Procurement Category Leader for the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Personal Protective Clothing (PPC) sectors within the Logistics Unit, you will be tasked with delivering strategic oversight in the acquisition processes and service delivery benchmarks pertinent to PPE and PPC. Your specialized knowledge in governmental procurement practices, market trends, and compliance will be essential in optimizing the Logistics Unit's capabilities in sourcing and managing PPE effectively.
Your expertise will be pivotal in enhancing the Logistics Unit's proficiency in procuring high-quality PPE products while ensuring adherence to compliance standards and improving service delivery metrics. Your strategic mindset and dedication to excellence will be crucial in cultivating a robust and efficient procurement framework within the organization.
This role demands a decisive, proactive, and responsible leader, equipped with a comprehensive understanding of government procurement, product specifications, industry benchmarks, and market conditions. A proven track record in successfully executing strategic procurement initiatives, negotiating contracts, and managing comprehensive supplier relationships is essential.
The ideal candidate will embody these attributes to significantly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Logistics Unit's procurement operations, ensuring reliable and compliant sourcing of PPE products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category strategies that optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels through clear, persuasive presentations and collaborative negotiation techniques.
- Maintain familiarity with industry regulations and standards related to PPE and PPC.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; an advanced degree is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in government procurement, particularly in managing categories related to PPE and PPC, along with an understanding of the global supply chain.
- Proven ability to develop and execute category strategies that enhance supply chain efficiency.
