Front Office Coordinator

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Front Office Associate to provide exceptional patient services and support to our medical team.

Key Responsibilities:

(55%) Registration and Scheduling:

  • Register patients for imaging services, collect demographic information, and process payment plans and copays.
  • Answer phone calls and handle inquiries in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Field calls for center associates and act as a liaison between technologists and patients.
  • Maintain the front office lobby area, including straightening magazines and organizing coffee supplies.
  • Order office supplies as needed and maintain a supply of patient information sheets.
  • Pull imaging via electronic interfaces and complete confirmation calls with patients.
  • Fax reports, billing information, and medical release forms as requested.

(20%) Insurance and Authorization:

  • Verify patient insurance and pre-certify exams with the patient's insurance company.
  • Obtain insurance authorization and use knowledge of insurance carriers to obtain waivers when necessary.
  • Handle release of information requests for patients, referring offices, and other medical facilities.

(20%) Scheduling and Coordination:

  • Arrange transportation, interpreters, and hotel accommodations for patients as needed.
  • Enter and submit patient exam orders and verify that orders match exam schedules.
  • Schedule referrals and ensure proper authorizations are obtained.
  • Schedule walk-in patients and process requests for image orders and CDs from referring physicians and patients.
  • Maintain an up-to-date and accurate database on all current and potential referring physicians.
