Service Support Specialist

Ziegler CAT has an opening for a Service Support Specialist to provide leadership and support for the field service team. They organize, schedule, coordinate, purchase, communicate, and lead the efforts of others. This position's main function is to provide timely, cost effective management of multiple projects to meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Orders all necessary Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar equipment and/or materials from suppliers, coordinating their timely release and delivery
  • Coordinates delivery of equipment to job site
  • Provides status updates to all parties involved throughout the project
  • Coordinates procedures and documentation with contractors, engineers, customers, owners, utility company, sales staff and service technicians
  • Creates quotes for both internal & external customers
  • Monitors project costs, coordinates billing, and initiates the invoicing process
  • Coordinates field service projects, requiring the management of outside resources to bring projects in on time and within the budget constraints on the project
  • Adheres to and helps enforce safety policies both on-and off-site.
  • Communicates project information and updates to the Product Support group and all other necessary parties
  • Works in a cooperative manner with team and superiors
  • Provides support and direction to Field Service Technicians
  • Meets with customers, contractors, engineers, owners, and Ziegler staff to discuss project requirements and logistics
  • Responds promptly to phone calls or email requests

Qualifications:

  • High School degree required; 2-year college degree preferred
  • 3 years of experience in Project Management
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Adobe Acrobat
  • Electrical Aptitude (including ATS, Switchgear, engine control) desired
  • Personal Attributes: Customer Focus, Attention to Detail, Leadership Orientation, Conflict Management, Sociability

Travel:

Up to 10% travel

Minimum Physical Requirements:

  • Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing
