Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in compiling data for the monthly closing process, including the preparation of consolidated financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, along with journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly reconciliations for designated accounts; investigate and analyze discrepancies and variances; demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of account balances and their fluctuations.
  • Collaborate closely with various members of the accounting team and other corporate departments to facilitate daily accounting operations.
  • Research and address information requests from different Corporate departments and personnel.
  • Communicate effectively with and support field locations to resolve accounting issues or provide requested information.
  • Engage with independent external auditors during quarterly reviews and the annual financial audit to ensure timely provision of information and completion of tasks.
  • Assist the Internal Audit department with the annual Sarbanes-Oxley evaluation and testing, ensuring compliance with internal control standards.
  • Complete additional ad hoc requests, corporate initiatives, and projects as directed by Management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting.
  • 3+ years of experience in General Ledger accounting or 1-2 years in public accounting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with PeopleSoft is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy in work.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP.
