Operational Risk Analyst Job Description

Ametros is the nation's largest professional administrator of medical insurance claim settlements. We help individuals manage their ongoing medical care through our CareGuard service and proprietary technology platform. CareGuard provides settlement advisory support, saves our members money on medical expenses, ensures compliance with government reporting, and facilitates the navigation of the complex US healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the execution and ongoing enhancement of the Operational Risk Management program
  • Assist with gathering key risk indicator data from business units to assist with reporting deliverables
  • Schedule and record minutes from monthly/quarterly risk meetings
  • Verify follow-ups and action items from meetings are executed
  • Develop and update Operational Risk procedures
  • Lead Operational Risk Management Program components with accountability for project plans, timelines, tools, and techniques
  • Raise key operational risk vulnerabilities and provide practical solution-oriented suggestions
  • Provide operational risk consultation to the line of business and influence process changes
  • Serve as ambassador to ORM and Risk Appetite strategy
  • Act as Point of Contact for audit-related activities
  • Support line of business with design and oversight of control testing
  • Oversee and execute user access management program
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Auditing, or related field or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
  • Certified Risk Professional (CRP) certification is a plus
  • Banking operations experience is a plus
  • Compliance background is a plus
  • Working knowledge of products, services, processes, requirements, and systems related to the bank
  • Working knowledge of operational, regulatory, and audit risk control concepts and standards
  • Effective organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Effective research and presentation skills
  • Effective skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to facilitate discussions
  • Ability to work independently and on a team, multi-task, and take ownership of deliverables
  • Exposure to collaborating across organizational boundaries and building partnerships across various functions
  • Willingness to ask questions, challenge the status quo, and seek out answers
