Job Summary:

This position is responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and standardization of machinery in our facility. The goal is to achieve the highest product quality by developing machinery and processing methods. The successful candidate will manage capital expenditure projects, coordinate with contractors and vendors, and assist with manufacturing processes and controls to ensure safe, quality products and meet customer and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety Culture: Reinforce and support a safety culture by complying with all safety policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Accident Investigation: Participate in accident investigations and provide root cause analysis and suggest solutions for safety concerns.
  • Engineering Controls: Aggressively drive engineering controls to address safety concerns and hazards.
  • Process Development: Develop and implement processes to achieve desired quality results, conserve consumables, and maximize the life of machined products.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all processes meet safety and quality standards, and provide world-class quality products.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvements in processing for quality, cost, and delivery, linking to capital expenditures justifications.
  • Maintenance: Maintain machinery performance and reliability, ensuring highest availability, and implement industry best practices and techniques.
  • Documentation: Establish and develop machinery documentation, utilizing data from the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), and produce periodic reports to present key performance indicators.
Requirements:
  • Education: Technical degree (two years required), with five or more years of manufacturing experience highly desired.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, flexible and urgent response schedule, ability to stand for at least 45 minutes at a time, and lift 35 pounds at waist level.
  • Software: Proficient in MS Office applications, Computer Design software (AutoCad experience preferred), and SAP experience preferred.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience: Experience in machine shop environment, precision grinding, manual lathes, welding, and precision measurement systems.
