We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning and Development Manager to join our team at Children's Aid. Key Responsibilities- Training Program Development
- Design and deliver training programs for staff and stakeholders to enhance their skills and knowledge in areas such as youth development, capacity building, and technology.
- Develop and maintain learning materials, including presentations, handouts, and online resources.
- Learning and Development Strategy
- Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with senior staff to create a learning and development model that informs the agency's overall vision, approach, and strategies for high-quality, high-impact youth and adolescent services.
- Training Evaluation and Quality Assurance
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure that training programs are aligned with industry best practices and standards.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with staff, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure that training programs meet their needs and expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement training programs that support the organization's goals and objectives.
- Technology and Data Management
- Manage and maintain learning management systems and other technology platforms used for training and development.
- Track and analyze data related to training programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Other Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Deputy Director of Learning and Development.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in education, youth development, or a related field.
- Experience
- 2-3 years' experience in community engagement, non-profit partnerships, or communications.
- 2-3 years' experience working in school or community center settings.
- At least 1 year of experience with a Learning Management platform is a plus.
- Skills
- Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, online data management systems.
- Well-versed in creating data-centered presentations.
- Graphic design skills a plus.
- Strong presentation and group facilitation skills and otherwise strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
- Creative approach to developing workshop tools, materials, and resources including oral and written material, posters, and slide decks.
- Adaptable to new systems and processes.
- Understanding of adult learning principles is a plus.
