Job Summary

The Annual Fund Coordinator plays a pivotal role in facilitating and implementing annual campaigns and strategies for giving to CHRISTUS Health programs. This position involves managing a portfolio of individual annual giving prospects and developing a comprehensive annual giving strategy that aligns with CHRISTUS Health's mission and fundraising goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Strategy
    • Assist in the creation and execution of the Philanthropy Department's strategy.
    • Develop and implement fundraising appeals and strategies to achieve goals.
  • Donor Engagement and Stewardship
    • Create targeted and segmented appeals to maximize donor engagement and giving.
    • Develop and manage a portfolio of top annual giving donors and prospects through face-to-face visits and personalized strategic identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
    • Identify prospects for future major gift support.
  • Communication and Reporting
    • Write and develop solicitation letters, proposals, and other fundraising-related materials.
    • Track and report appeal metrics and provide annual giving reports and trend data.
  • Collaboration and Marketing
    • Collaborate with CHRISTUS Shared Services to create, design, and implement marketing strategies that enhance annual giving efforts.
    • Maintain collaboration with CHRISTUS Shared Services to timely and accurately acknowledge gifts and keep accurate records of donor information in the database.
  • Event Attendance and Adaptability
    • Attend donor, stewardship, and community events as required.
    • Able to work independently and make sound decisions, utilizing judgment and analytical skills to effectively communicate internally and externally.
  • Requirements and Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
    • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be able to multitask and meet deadlines.
    • Exceptional organizational and time management skills are a necessity.
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience in non-profit fundraising in an annual fund role or a similar setting is preferred.
    • Experience working with Raiser's Edge NXT or similar CRM donor database, preferred.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Background in fundraising or non-profit a plus.
    • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus (Photoshop and InDesign).
    • CFRE certification is a plus.
