Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Manager to join our Employee Health & Benefits team. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a book of business, ensuring each client's welfare benefit plan needs and goals are met.
Key Responsibilities- Manage annual benefit enrollment periods and oversee the transfer of coverage to new vendors
- Provide first-rate benefit plan communications to clients, resolving day-to-day service issues and concerns
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date benefit plan documents, counseling clients on a wide range of regulatory issues affecting welfare benefit plans
- Work with significant autonomy, demonstrating a high degree of competency in the position
- Assist and guide others in the section and firm on various matters, and help train newer Account Managers
- Bachelor's degree preferred, with a degree in business, human resources, health care administration, or a related area
- Minimum of 5-7 years experience in the welfare benefit plan industry, working for an employer, insurer/administrator, or broker
- Extensive knowledge of group insurance (medical, dental, vision, life, and disability products) required
- Effective public speaking skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Ability to use available resources to research regulatory issues and provide clear, concise, and accurate information and guidance to clients
- Must have the ability to work under pressure and multi-task, and be able to work independently and be detailed, organized, and resourceful
