POSITION SUMMARY:

The Compliance Analyst plays a crucial role in assisting the VP of Compliance with the ongoing development, assessment, and execution of operational compliance strategies. This position is accountable for various projects and activities that ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations relevant to Nymbus' digital banking clientele. The analyst will support the VP in identifying compliance gaps and implementing solutions through a risk-oriented approach, while also striving to enhance internal processes and procedures related to compliance.

This role involves actively identifying, addressing, and escalating compliance risks to the VP of Compliance during reviews, regulatory changes, and monitoring activities. The analyst will have the chance to influence policies and procedures that optimize profitability while minimizing regulatory risks. Collaboration across departments is essential, fostering relationships between business lines and compliance teams to create a supportive environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the VP of Compliance in maintaining compliance programs for operational functions, including compliance monitoring, internal control assessments, and report preparation.
  • Conduct compliance reviews based on a predetermined schedule and communicate findings to the VP of Compliance for further action.
  • Assist in tracking the implementation of corrective measures for compliance issues identified during reviews, audits, and third-party evaluations.
  • Review marketing materials, departmental policies, and respond to assigned complaints.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and recommend enhancements to internal procedures to ensure compliance with new or updated regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and the VP of Compliance to develop and deliver training programs focused on regulatory compliance.
  • Manage and monitor compliance-related issues and action items from both internal and external sources.
  • Support new product development by providing insights on regulatory compliance requirements and working with product teams to implement necessary enhancements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of laws and regulations pertaining to banking products and services offered by Nymbus on behalf of client institutions.
  • Assist with onboarding new clients in collaboration with the VP of Compliance and the Implementation team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Some college education, preferably in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Internal Audit, Compliance, or Risk Management roles.
  • Audit or Compliance certification is preferred.
  • Experience with financial institutions is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of federal regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective public speaking abilities.
  • Strong time management and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on processes.

SALARY & BENEFITS:

  • Annual Salary: $65,000 - $75,000
