POSITION SUMMARY:

The Compliance Analyst plays a crucial role in assisting the VP of Compliance with the continuous enhancement, assessment, and execution of operational compliance initiatives. This position is tasked with overseeing projects, evaluations, and activities that ensure adherence to applicable federal, state, and local regulations relevant to Nymbus' digital banking clientele. The analyst will support the VP of Compliance in pinpointing compliance gaps and implementing solutions through a risk-based approach, while also striving to refine internal processes and protocols concerning compliance.

In this role, the analyst will be expected to proactively identify, respond to, and escalate compliance risks to the VP of Compliance during reviews, regulatory updates, and monitoring as necessary. This position offers the chance to shape policies and procedures that enhance profitability while minimizing regulatory risks. The analyst will collaborate across departments to build strong relationships between business units and compliance functions, fostering a cooperative environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the VP of Compliance in upholding compliance-related programs across operational business functions, including compliance monitoring, internal control assessments, and drafting reports (e.g., compliance review reports, quarterly updates).
  • Conduct compliance evaluations according to a predetermined schedule and communicate findings to the VP of Compliance for further action.
  • Assist in tracking the implementation of corrective measures addressing compliance issues identified during reviews, monitoring, internal audits, and third-party evaluations, providing regular updates to the VP of Compliance.
  • Participate in the review of marketing materials, annual assessments of departmental policies, and address complaints as assigned.
  • Monitor regulatory changes through internal systems and governmental guidance, recommending improvements to internal procedures to align with new or revised regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and the VP of Compliance to create and deliver training programs focused on regulatory compliance and ongoing compliance education.
  • Engage with various departments to manage and monitor compliance-related issues and action items from both internal and external sources.
  • Support new product initiatives and serve as a resource for regulatory compliance requirements, working with product managers to implement enhancements as directed by the VP of Compliance and the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of laws, regulations, and guidance related to banking products and services offered by Nymbus on behalf of client financial institutions and fintech.
  • Assist the VP of Compliance and the Implementation team with onboarding new clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Some college education, preferably in Business, Accounting, or Finance-related fields.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Internal Audit, Compliance, or Risk Management roles.
  • Preferred certifications in Audit or Compliance.
  • Experience working with financial institutions is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of federal regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient public presentation abilities.
  • Strong time management and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a process-driven mindset.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • Annual Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000.
  • Annual Cash Bonus and Equity Options based on role level and experience.
