Account Manager - Outside SalesLocation: Ohio Area Territory: Ohio, Indiana, and surrounding areasKey Responsibilities:Research and develop new business opportunities in the assigned areaVisit and communicate with new and existing customers to understand their needs and explain how specific products can meet those needs (travel required)Answer customer inquiries about products, prices, and lead timesSell products to new prospects, communicate the company's value proposition, and identify opportunities within existing accounts to increase market shareDevelop and maintain strong customer/prospect relationshipsManage the territory sales funnel for new businessProvide regular progress reports on each accountMonitor new and existing accounts for any issues that may affect salesInvestigate and resolve account complaints/issues with the sales teamAttend trade shows and association meetings (may require overnight travel)Maintain accurate expense and sales reportsImprove selling techniques and internal product knowledgeAdapt to changes productively and handle other essential tasks as assignedCompetencies:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsKnowledge of products and marketExcellent customer service skillsOrganizational and time management skillsBusiness acumenProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to travel locally and overnight up to 80%Required Skills, Education, and Experience:College degree preferredMinimum of 3 years direct outside account selling experience requiredExperience in the tape and label or converting industries strongly preferredValid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Midwest
