We are seeking a highly motivated Territory Sales Manager to join our team in Ohio and Western Pennsylvania, covering the building materials sector. This exciting opportunity will allow you to leverage your sales expertise and industry knowledge to drive growth and success.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating distribution and contractor relationships in their assigned geographic region, ensuring seamless product sales, inventory management, and merchandising promotions. You will work closely with outside sales reps to maximize opportunities, develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors and contractors, and ensure timely fulfillment of orders.

This role requires exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as organizational and time management abilities. The ability to articulate complex product features and competitor positioning is essential, along with proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft office suite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive pull-through sales through contractor and commercial sales at distributors.
  • Routine distribution visits to review product sales, inventory, and merchandising promotions.
  • Work with outside sales reps to maximize opportunities.
  • Facilitate training programs with contractors and distribution partners monthly.
  • Conduct in-person product knowledge classes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with distribution sales teams.
  • Attend and develop distribution contractor events.
  • Follow up on special order quotes and purchase orders.
  • Achieve sales targets to meet company objectives.
  • Partner with all company-owned brands and sales teams to ensure effective communication and timely order fulfillment.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree with a minimum of 3 years experience as an accounts manager or similar.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and Microsoft office suite.
  • In-depth knowledge of client relationship management strategies.
  • Proven ability to learn and articulate complex product features and competitor positioning.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to spend 4 out of 5 days per week in the field.

Compensation: Estimated salary range $80,000-$110,000 plus bonus potential. A multi-tiered bonus structure allows top performers to exceed base earnings.
