Overview: The Project Engineer is responsible for organizing and executing all activities associated with capital projects in a heavy industrial environment.  This position will report to the Engineering Manager and will provide multidiscipline technical direction and project management from conception to completion.  Responsibilities:   Project responsibilities include:  JustificationScope and cost estimate developmentApproval of designPlanning and schedulingBudget managementConstruction installationCommissioning and startupOperator training and documentation The Project Engineer provides detailed technical documents for material and equipment procurement, fabrication, and installation.  This position will plan and schedule project execution, order materials from company-approved suppliers, track timing and cost, manage construction/installation contractors, and communicate project updates and needs to Evergreen management.  All projects must be compliant with Evergreen’s established safety and environmental requirements.  The Project Engineer is responsible for ensuring project completion within approved schedules and funding.    Successful candidates must have:Strong communication skills (both oral and written)Strong technical engineering foundationStrong computer skillsAbility to work with large teams while managing multiple portfolio projects simultaneouslyAbility to provide coordination between all parties involved with project planning and executionThis position will also support major inspection and repair projects/outages throughout the year, as needed. Qualifications:  Minimum qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred5 or more years of project engineering experience within a heavy industrial manufacturing operation Pulp and paper industry experience preferredExperience working with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project  Pactiv Evergreen Inc.
