Yearly review with possibility of increase based on performance and tenureResponsibilitiesShift: 4am-12:30pm (or until job is complete). Sunday-Thursday *Will need to be flexible to working weekend/Sundays The Role:This position will report directly to the FSQA Manager and will primarily be responsible for: Developing, implementing, and enforcing food safety and security procedures for all of Charlie's Produce operations. Developing, implementing, and enforcing workplace safety programs to ensure Charlie's Produce is meeting company goals and regulatory requirements. Monitoring, documenting, and reporting on finished product specifications to measure compliance with company standards for growing, packing, and cooling operations. Reviewing and analyzing all business functions to create reports and recommendations for sustainability initiatives. Backup to FSQA Manager Other tasks/duties that may be assigned by direct supervisor.  Essential Skills and Requirements: The Quality Assurance Supervisor will need to be able to work alone in core functions and work as a team member with the HACCP management team and production personnel. Strong skills in data collection, management, and organization are required. The candidate will need to be proficient with computers and analytical operations. The ideal candidate will also have a general understanding of food safety (SQF, GMP, HAACP and SOPs), worker safety (state labor laws and OSHA), and produce/farming practices. Assist in the development, training, and implementation of process control procedures. Ensure that established process control procedures are followed throughout the plant. Maintain plant compliance to the HACCP and quality systems programs. Conduct regular plant food safety and security audits. Provide training to production workers on process control, product evaluation, HACCP, Allergens, GMPs, security, and other procedures. Maintain daily product evaluation programs (scoring, key quality indicators, shelf life). Provide support to Technical Services in conducting plant trials for new products/processes.QualificationsQualifications:
4-year college degree in food science or related field, preferred. Experience working in a food manufacturing/processing environment. Demonstrated ability to organize, supervise and direct a diverse work force. Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative, sense of urgency and flexibility. Versed in scientific method, continuous improvement methodologies, statistical process control. Knowledgeable in HACCP, GMPs, SQF and other regulatory requirements.
