Position Summary:

The Quality Control Technician will play a vital role in supporting the Quality Control Supervisor at Jeeter. This position is responsible for inspecting products and meticulously tracking defects to ensure that only items meeting company standards proceed to distribution or the next phase of production.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of products at various stages of the manufacturing process to verify compliance with company and legal standards, including raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods.
  • Adhere to and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and specifications.
  • Evaluate products and determine whether to accept or reject them based on compliance with cannabis regulations and company policies, accurately categorizing defects.
  • Document inspection outcomes by counting and reporting quality-related data regularly, ensuring real-time data entry during inspections.
  • Communicate quality or compliance issues effectively, raising concerns and providing detailed notes as necessary.
  • Collaborate with quality control and production teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and error reduction.
  • Utilize and maintain quality control equipment and materials according to approved methods and Good Manufacturing Practices, ensuring cleanliness at workstations.
  • Be open to feedback and coaching from the Quality Control Supervisor.
  • Assist with product testing or experiments as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old and possess reliable transportation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to inspect products thoroughly and report accurate data.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively and following instructions.
  • Problem-solving abilities, with a knack for identifying issues and proposing solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace in line with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Adaptability and openness to change.
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety standards.
  • Familiarity with the conditions necessary for producing safe and high-quality cannabis products is preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in quality control or assurance, preferably within the cannabis industry or similarly regulated fields.
  • Experience with timely and accurate data reporting is strongly preferred.
